The Wesley Foundation in Cincinnati is an active campus ministry in the Ohio River Valley District. They are proud to represent the Wesleyan roots of our denomination on the campus of the University of Cincinnati. Their goal is to share the radical love of God to all the young adults, students, faculty and staff on and off campus. They open their houses for students to encounter, explore and wonder about their relationship with God. On Tuesday evenings students are invited to the house for a meal that feeds them physically and fellowship that feeds them spiritually.
Once a month they gather for a service project where all students and staff are invited to participate. Their latest project was tying blankets for the unhoused in Cincinnati. They also have a weekly presence on campus of sharing coffee, hot chocolate, and engaging students with their question board to create ongoing relationships.
Would you like to be a part of this ministry? They are seeking congregations to partner with them to serve the UC community. Several ways to get involved include providing a Tuesday evening meal, participating in their outreach projects, helping with maintenance projects, and supporting them financially.
Executive Director, Rev. Becky Schofield Motter, would love to hear from you. She'd be happy to take you on a tour of their houses and ministry, come to your church to speak or preach in worship, visit with small groups, and engage youth groups and seniors making a transition to college. You can reach her at director [at] wesleyuc.org or 513.861.2929.
