Bibles for Liberia Project

Rev. Oliver Adams is a United Methodist pastor from Liberia who has been living in the Ohio River Valley District for 10 years. He is the founder of Gospel Train International (GTI), an organization committed to community outreach; children’s ministry; clean water, food and shelter; and disciple making in war-torn Monrovia, Liberia.

In July Oliver will be returning to Monrovia and has a God-sized dream to return with 2,000 Bibles to give to new believers. He shared, “New believers are won over to the Lord and 95% of these new believers lack Holy Bibles to read and grow in the Christian faith.”

The Ohio River Valley District office is partnering with with him to collect new and gently used Bibles for his ministry. Between now and June 25th you may drop them off at the district office or, bring them to the Spring Celebration on May 22nd. Rev. Adams is looking for any translation, English Bibles that fit in your hand. For each Bible you bring, please include $1 for shipping.
