Do you know your why?
Why motivates. Why gives energy. Why inspires.
Why clarifies and prioritizes.
We can know the who, what, where, when and how, but if we don’t know the why, we struggle.
In a culture that assumed everyone knew why they should go to church and why the gospel mattered, you never asked why. And then the answers began to slowly fade from our cultural memory.
“Because you should” is not enough to motivate, energize and inspire.
Join us as we work to name our why as church leaders and as followers of Jesus who are called to make disciples and change the world and as we develop strategies for helping our congregations name and claim their why.
We will use portions of Simon Sinek’s book, Start with Why, to guide our interactive time together. Sinek writes, “The discovery of WHY completely changed my view of the world and discovering my own why restored my passion to a degree multiple greater than at any other time in my life” (iii).
