You are invited to Armstrong Chapel United Methodist Church on September 19 to learn about common social media challenges like cyberbullying, inappropriate texting, screen addiction, musical.ly, SnapChat and more.
Additional topics include:
+ How to introduce tablets and smart phones
+ SnapChat, Instagram, Twitter, Musical.ly, YouTube and texting
+ “Stories,” posts, followers and fans
+ “Net nanny” programs that monitor what children do online
+ Positive, faithful uses for social media
This workship will be presented by Erin Bailey, Director of Training for The Social Family. For ten years, Erin worked in the trenches of social media marketing. She learned how websites, apps and YouTube channels harness children’s attention and monetize it. The alarming consequences of excessive screen time – such as bone density loss and online depression – inspired her to launch a company called The Social Family, teaching positive social media methods through workshops and individual family sessions.
