The conversation for this pastor's lunch will focus on the topic of counseling couples in a pastoral setting. In premarital counseling a pastor may want to consider the mental well being of the couple. Something may catch the pastor's attention, a way of communicating, a reactivity, or a reluctance to share. We will discuss what a pastor can do to effectively support the couple.
The presenter, Gianluca Bruno, is a licensed professional counselor as well as an ordained minister. Pastor Bruno will also review a tool that may be helpful to pastors in premarital and couple counseling, the Taylor-Johnson Temperament Analysis (TJTA). The TJTA is an instrument designed to measure nine common personality traits, for the assessment of individual adjustment. Pastor Bruno is a TJTA certified instructor.
